I've lived here for a year and I don't have any huge complaints. Of course it isn't perfect, but what apartment is' If you're the type who wants a gated community with only old people (none of us college kids) this is NOT the place for you. I've loved being here. Yes, you hear trains, yes you hear barking dogs sometimes, but it is definitely worth the rent.

The townhouses themselves are very nice, with lots of storage and large rooms. I love being able to have my dog here and I feel safe walking her whenever I want, I usually am not the only one walking a dog. Our neighbors are quiet, and though we never really see them I never have any complaints either. I will say the windows suck, but there could be bigger problems.

Being about a minute from 490 is wonderful, and east rochester is very nice and close to everything. The staff has been great, letting us in if we lock ourselves out, answering questions and complaints quickly. Be careful if you pay rent late, there's a big fee. The grounds are very well taken care of, I happen to be in an excellent area with nice grass and trees. All winter the sidewalks were shoveled and salted and the parking lots were plowed, even before i left at 7 am. All through fall the graouds staff was raking and cleaning and setting up for winter, and as soon as winter ended they started spring cleaning.

Like I said, if you're cranky and hate people and complain a lot, or if you're just looking for a really nice place, spend more money and get it. But if you can settle for a decent place that is safe and nice, this place is wonderful. I'd be staying another year if I wasn't changing schools.
