I?ve been here for 3 years now. The apartments are nice, and there are a lot of young families in the development. The clubhouse is great and they have a lot of holiday events for children. The hours of the pool in the Summer are terrible. Half the time the lifeguard doesn?t show up to work and when he/she does, they close the pool for an hour for lunch.





The construction the apartments is terrible. There is NO insulation in the walls and heating bills are astronomical and you can feel the draft coming in from every window and door. The units are NOT soundproof and you can hear everything in the apartment next to you (or above you). I can hear the neighbors flicking their light switch, that?s how bad it is and when they walk up and down their stairs, my apartment shakes.





The maintenance leaves a lot to be desired. Although, I must say it has gotten a little better in the last year.





People drive like maniacs in here going 35-45 mph!! I guess you get that everywhere though. People really need to have more regard to the children in the complex. I guess they will AFTER they run a child over. They need speed bumps or something (but those cost money).





The security gates are never operational. Everytime they would work, someone would drive thru them again. Now they just leave the entrance gate open (but the exit one is always down, makes no sense). There is a guardhouse, but it's for show. I don't think they ever intended on hiring a guard.







Overall, the value is good I think. I pay $1745 for a 2 bedroom, 2 bath townhouse with a loft which is used as a bedroom and office area. Typically to rent a private apartment of this size and with the ammenties we have, it would be more and it probably wouldn?t be near as nice.

The managment is awful, and I'm sure everyone you talk to that lives in a Fairfield property will tell you the same thing. It's impossible to get a return call from the corporate office if you have a problem.

I would say 75% of the people I talk to really don't *like* living here, but sometimes it's just easier to deal with the problems than find a new place to live :)
