I have lived in Parker Towers nowfor the past 12 months and I can say without any hesitation that it is the worst place I have ever lived. The surrounding area itself is not too bad, but this building and everything associated with it is a nightmare.
I have been trapped in the elevator on two seperate occasions, had phone calls in the middle of the night because of retarded doomen, and had to scrub down my own balcony in order to remove years of pigeon crap which has built up. Don't be fooled, this is not a luxury building.
Every time I do laudry, I do so with the local wildlife looking on... cockroaches and other insects which roam throughout the building untreated and in plain sight. Every time I leave for work in the morning I do so knowing that I'll probably run into another useless employee. Every time I come home at night I know I'll have to walk up 20 flights of stairs because either the elevators won't be working, or the porter will be using thm to take down garbage which is left in hallways every single day... because guess what else... there isn't a freight elevator either. Parker Towers is a living nightmare, you pay for luxury and you live in squaller... DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!

Since you have lived for a year and now is the time to renew, I think you should have an appointment with the mnanagement team and state it clearly that they should clean up the laundry facilities on a regular basis. Also, the balconies need to be cleaned periodically on an as needed basis. Plus, they should pay you for cleaning the pigeon crap. Otherwise, this is a good time to move and something that gives you peace of mind. Because this is not worth it after paying such a high rent.
