I have been living in Parker Towers for 3 years. Every year they jack up the rent ridiculously. This year I decided it was time to move elsewhere. Upon looking I find a listing for Parker Towers 1 BR on Craig's List for $275 LESS than what I'm paying. I immediately contacted my leasing agent who IGNORED my calls and emails. My boyfriend (who I live with) went into the office and was told, sure we can move you into the cheaper apartment. We were then both ignored for over 1 month. I went back into the office after 1 month of being ignored to find an entire new management staff who assured me I should not move because they would move me into a cheaper full renovated apartment and match the current advertisement rate. They then proceeded to ignore me for another month and are now telling me none of this is possible. Everytime I call, they tell me something different. I also asked for my peeling bathroom paint to be repainted and all they did was the ceiling and left the rest - this is a HEALTHY HAZARD. The management company randomly started charging me illegitimate late fees and then sent an eviction notice because of them. Once I confronted them they told me they were false but I still had to pay late fees for these false fees - RIDICULOUS. Overall the management feels no need to treat the tenants with respect, let alone those of us who have been loyal for several years.

They did exactly the same to us. So happy to be moving to 400$ cheaper place.

Parker Towers Management sucks. Staff is extremely rude to current and prospective tenants. At first it seems like a great alternative to the city, but soon enough you will learn that they are a bunch of pricks. I've been living here for more than 2 years. Not to mention they jack up your rent at renewal, when the housing turmoil depressed all rental prices across the country, they had the audacity to try to scam you into renewing their leases at the rental price you were already overpaying for ($300 per month higher than their advertising prices). It is understandable that once you sign a lease and market rates go down, you are locked in at your current price. But when I tried to renew my lease at advertised price, I was turned down. Reason being, "This price is to attract new prospective customers, not current tenants". A smarter business model may be offering customer loyalty discounts to existing tenants rather than take the risk of taking on NEW CUSTOMERS who's prepayment ability may be in question, and forcing out existing customer who have already displayed credibility. And believe me, a lot of new tenants have defaulted on their rents. From a risk reward standpoint and risk management perspective, these idiots would rather get paid LESS and expose themselves to more RISK than try to satisfy existing customers. Elevators are almost always broken. Laundry machines malfunction quite often as well. Funniest thing is, the highest level of management you will encounter in the management office is actually the biggest b****tch of them all so you can be sure you will not get a satisfactory response to any complain, let alone a simple, sincere apology. I've never seen a higher level manager not try to at least PRETEND to be nice to the customers. Shari Forrest, Director of Leasing, needs to learn to tone down on her B*TCHY attitude because it really shows to even my friends who came to check out apartments for the day. Please learn some common courtesy when facing prospective clients. It's quite embarassing. Therefore, it is obvious that any complaints will need to be taken up into the Jack Parker Corporation, who probably still wouldn't do much to alleviate any distress they have caused. Good luck to those apartment hunting. Parker Towers is definitely not a great place to live. Don't be fooled by the relatively nicer atmosphere their website or initial tour of the complex suggests. Oh, did I mention roach and pigeon infestation? That's a story for another day, I can ramble on forever. Good Luck.
