Not such a great place to live...


PROS

1) The kitchen island is nice and opens the apartment up.

2) Plenty of kitchen cupboard space.

2) There are ample power outlets.

CONS

1) I have only lived here 2 months so far. While moving in a neighbor said to me "welcome to the apartment from hell." Red flag a little'

2) My first maintenance request took a day to have done. Nice. The second took 6 weeks after about 12 phone calls and messages and emails.

3) The kitchen cupboards are very high cupboards and I had to buy a step-stool for my fiance to reach them. She's 5'7".

4) The complex is right at the intersection of Rt. 57 and 481. It is a very noisy spot. Traffic and tractor-trailers run by all day at every time of the day and night. The trucks are LOUD as they scream by.

5) When I moved in the place was DIRTY. I had to clean about 5 years worth of dust off the ceiling fan and PEE stains from the outside of the toilet (which smells super funky - even after bleaching and using 1000 flushes.

6) There was a nasty old A/C (from the '70s) in the wall that I requested to have removed and sealed. When running it would spit out chunks of mold the size of pebbles. MAJOR health hazard!!! It took forever to get it removed (see #1 above).

7) All the screens in the windows and the screen door to the balcony (the TINY TINY balcony) have cuts in them that let bugs in. Mucho bugs. Never seen so many spiders in 2 months. And really, I think there is a ladybug infestation somewhere in the building.

8) The window sills are all disgusting and look as though they haven't been cleaned...ever. Remnant of dozens of dead bugs and debris.

9) Closets have no lights in them, makes finding clothes an adventure in the dark.

10) Air circulation is poor.

11) Bathroom has ZERO counterspace and a TINY TINY medicine cabinet. Plan on installing your own cabinet or shelves.

12) The entrance to the building and the parking lot in front are poorly lit. Sometimes NOT lit. Haven't figured out if the light that seems to be on sporadically is tied to some kind of timer or sensor. If it is a sensor, it doesn't work right. If it is a timer, it is set for the wrong country.

14) For what you are getting, this place is overpriced.

Do yourself a favor, LOOK ELSEWHERE. This place looks nice from the website, but it really isn't. You can do better. All I can say is, if you were my friend, I wouldn't let you move here, you would regret it.

Follow up...

We've had moldy windows in the apartment that need replacing. The maintenance guys told me they had the windows nd just needed to find date to install them and they would let me know. That was 6 WEEKS ago!!!

Update...

Windows were replaced.
