Unless you get an end-unit, then your going to have noise issues. I agree with the post(s) below regarding next-door neighbor noise. My neighbor and I compromised as to a good time when certain things shouldnt happen in the bedrooms because we share a common-wall (e.g. Television, radio, excessive loud-talking, etc.). However, do not consider yourself so lucky. My previous neighbor basically told me to take-a-hike regarding noise-issues, so I had to, ummm, intervene. Since I could hear everything they were doing in the apartment, I discovered that they were into drugs I soon thereafter placed a call to a family friend who is in the narcotics/vice squad. Problem solved.

Anyway, back to the review my brother is in construction and he took a look around at my place and a vacant end-unit. We discovered that end-units have dense concrete firewall, while the others do not. This serves as a great soundproofing material for end-units. All other units have framing and drywall. This has absolutely no soundproofing material so you are going to hear everything. Lying in bed I can even hear my neighbor sneeze and cough! Were friends so it doesnt bother me, but we both dread the day that either one of us moves out.

I disagree with the post below regarding creating a neighborhood. Your going to have bad neighbors from time to time I agree, but having such shoddy construction materials and no soundproofing is going to just amplify your bad experiences with bad neighbors. When neighbors cannot be reasoned with, youre then S.O.L..

Biggest Gripes:
(1) Common-wall noise (obviously)
(2) Parking is absolutely terrible
(3) Management is off-site (so residents are out of site, out of mind)
(4) Speeding in the complex
(5) There are no security guards! (At the very least, cant they hire full-time security guard at the main booth and keep the gate down 24/7' Ill gladly pay a rent increase to support this!)

Good Points:
(1) Maintenance guys are great!
(2) Apartments are still fairly new (about 7-years old)
