My husband and I are both from Hyde Park, born and raised, we went to Port Ewen to have a change. I missed it here terrible and we decided to come to the Ledges. Well when we were signing our lease I asked if I could take a look at the apartment before I signed it, they told me that if I had any problems just to come back to the office and they would fix it, what a mistake because I was locked in from that point on. They never told me that our apartment needed a dehumidifier or else everything would smell like mold, by the way it costs 30 to 35 dollars extra a billing cycle with Central Hudson. Not to mention they put a special needs person on the second floor which was right above us, at first I didn't mind...until he started flooding his apartment and mine with his bath water because he would turn it on than LEAVE HIS APARTMENT! I called up the office and they told me they would talk to him. OK that was fine with me because nothing was really damaged, just dry wall, and I figured they would come back and fix what was ruined in my apartment...boy was I wrong, a week goes by and black mold starts growing out of our wall and they maintenence guy comes in and slaps mud on it, and that was it, no bin or anything to stop the mold from growing. I guess god was looking after us because the man did it again!!! Oh and did I say that we had only been living here for two months' So he floods our apartment again and now our diningroom ceiling is coming down. IT WAS TERRIBLE. The property manager tried to accomodate us as best as she could but it wasn't good enough, I JUST got done unpacking all of our stuff and had to pack it all back up and move again to a different apartment in the complex. I looked at the new apartment and it was not upgraded like our old one was but I dealt with it. I was promised that around the tub would be fixed because the man that lived there before us got the walls all wet and they never fixed it, they slapped nasty chaulk over it and was done with it. I went down to the office to complain and the girl that no longer works here gave me such an attitude, you could tell she lived like filth because these things did not bother her...needless to say my lease is almost done and I am definately moving out this May, I will never tell anyone to come and live here, unless they have maintence people that actually have a brain and take pride in their work.
