I recently left this apartment complex. After reading the reviews on this site, I can honestly say that the place wasn't as bad as some people have written. I never saw any lurkers or indications of drug deals, although there were a lot of late night visitors well after midnight in some areas. But it's home to a lot of young people, so that's not too unusual. The apartments are old, and could use some repair. I did have the same problem as some have mentioned regarding loose and/or unattached power outlets, which are a fire risk. The property managers fixed it, but it took several calls and longer than I would have liked to get a response.

Otherwise, it's just a dull-looking cheap place to live. It isn't dangerous, but it's not something I'd show off. But you get what you pay for, there aren't too many places in Ithaca where you can find a two floor, two bedroom apartment this size for under $1000/mo.

However, I feel that this is important to note: several of the reviews of this site ARE in fact posted by the owners, posing as tenants. I know this because I asked them directly about this site and their response was "We've posted there a few times to generate interest." Normally I wouldn't repeat this information, but they tried to keep my entire deposit so I'm not feeling particularly charitable towards them. They told me I'd receive it within 60 days- after 90 days I called to inquire about it and was told that "it hadn't been processed yet and I should get it in another month or so." I was only able to get it back by contacting the company which owns the complex.

Given the chance I would look somewhere else, if only to avoid the hassle of dealing with the property managers. They're friendly, but not very quick to act, if they do act at all.

Wow! An honest review of this property, never thought I'd see the day. The Meadows are the worst, sorry you had to experience that firsthand.
