Some dissappointments

I do have to say that the underground parking garage is a nice perk in some of the apartments, but my overall feeling about Brookwood is dissappointed.
I chose Brookwood because it seemed like a nice place for the price, I however, was told (one week before rent was due) in winter that I owed an extra $85 because of heat costs and school taxes! This is not what I had in mind and being on a budget, this really affected me negatively.
I have had several maintenence concerns which have taken MONTHS to be responded to.
When I called one day, after having no air conditioner in 90 degree heat to the point where all my groceries were room temp, and I said that someone needed to do something about it now, I was almost yelled at for "expecting too much".
The office is like walking into a pack of cigarettes and therefore residents feel it necessary to smoke in apartment lobbies as well without repercussions from the staff.
Security is another issue.
The parking garage is open to anyone to come in, and they also have acess to the main building if they come in this way! Anyone could be waiting in the lobby at anytime! There are many kids that seem to have not enough supervision.
My car was broken into right outside the front of my building!

I am also dissapointed in the brookwood and i WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE! Their poor customer service is so unbearable. I also have no AC in my house in the 90degree heat and HAVE BEEN ASKING FOR A MONTH! I literally call them everyday to find out when there will be replacements will be coming in and their answer was, "I don't know when the delivery will be in" How can you not know your delivery date? I'm pretty sure that they are ordering in bulk of ACs. I am so sick of calling everyday! I am about to call tomorrow and ask for someone higher in charge and finally settle this. This is insane! While they are sitting down in a cool ACed office, why do I pay full of my rent and not get the service that I need to get?

LvKty Please come to the office so we can discuss this as work orders are typically handled within 72 hours. As for calling the office daily, I do have a call log of all incoming and outgoing call from this office. I would like to go over this with you as I do not show daily calls from any tenant and I would love to clear this up.
