Here is my experience that pretty much sums up Norstar Apartments.

The pipe behind the toilet exploded one night at 2 AM therefore creating a flood in both my bedrooms and the other bathroom. The maintenance guy comes over and fixes it and tells me that this pipe should have been replaced a long time ago. Yeah, thanks for the wonderful piece of information. Then I go to the office to tell them about my situation and they really couldn?t care less.

Also my brothers car was broken into in the parking lot next to my building during the summer. The parking lots in this apartment complex have very poor lighting, therefore making it pretty easy for cars to get jacked by car jackers.

So I went into the office the next day and asked them if I could borrow a broom, but I didnt inform the land lady why I needed it. She couldn't care less since she was busy trying to get another possible resident for Norstar. She also told me that she didnt have a broom in the office.

Since I realized that she was trying to obtain another possible resident at this apartment complex and couldn't care less about me and my simple request, I then stated to her loud and clear in her office that the reason that I need a broom is to clean off the broken glass from my brothers car that was car jacked the night before.

Once I stated this to her, I never seen a 60 year old woman move so fast in my life. She got me the broom pretty quick even though she stated earlier that there was no broom in the office initially.

One side note, it seems that Norstar is more of a retirement home than an apartment complex. They have parties here to celebrate residents who have been living here for 5, 10 and 20 years. These people must obviously not care too much about living life if they wasted their time living here for more than a year.

So to sum it all up, don?t come here! There are much better apartments in the area with quality service and living conditions at a cheaper rate.
