I ve been living at Village One apartments for just over a year. Generally it s quiet; the rent is fairly cheap and most importantly it is close to both my work and my school. Everything about this apartment complex should be ideal in my current situation. During the day I go to school and at night I work. I m quiet and mind my own business.

After a few months of living here however I started being harassed by ------------. I am not exactly sure of ------------'s job title at Village One apartments however I can conclude she is directly is in charge of the complex. ---------- is not only the person in charge she is also my neighbor.

At first she had my apartment searched three times. When I first moved in I asked if I could bring my dog over to the apartments. Although my dog lives with my parents I like take her to the park or go running with her. ---------- said I could have the dog come over occasionally and I would not be charged the monthly pet fee of forty dollars. Within a few months, for reasons unknown to me, she began to leave notices on my door. The first time my apartment was searched was the day after I had my dog come over. I had dropped my dog off the day before therefore they reported back to her that there was no dog. The second time she had my apartment searched right after I came back from walking her at the park next to the complex. That time they did find a dog but I told them I was told I could have her come over occasionally. The last time I received a letter on my door saying if I wanted to have my dog stay over I would need to pay a monthly fee or I would be evicted.

Most recently I received a hand written note from ---------- as I was leaving for school asking me not to jump up and down the stairs, or slams the doors, or else she would request I be evicted. When I returned from school I had a notice saying I was reported for making too much noise and to please be considerate. I later found out her problem was that I let the door shut behind me instead of gently shutting it. I do not slam the door but I do not close it. I also run up the stairs which I apparently am not allowed to do. None of what I was reported for was done intentionally.

After I received the notice I didn t hear anything until she called the police on me. She allegedly told the police that late at night I slam the doors and run up the stairs and since they have a baby I need to be quieter. The police officer told me he needs to come for every call he receives but that the complaint is neither a cause for eviction or arrest. The police officer also told her to replace the hinges on the doors so they did not shut so loudly.

Two weeks after that I went to do my laundry around 4 on a Sunday afternoon, the door shut behind me, when I went back up the stairs a sign was taped to the door that read: DO NOT SLAM DOOR. While I was waiting for my laundry some one in their apartment was banging on the wall continuously for about a half hour. When I went out to put my laundry in the dryer ---------- s husband came out screaming and swearing at me that I woke his baby up. He told me I wake it up every time I come in or out. When I mentioned that the baby couldn t possibly be sleeping after he or ----- had been banging on the wall he told me to expect an eviction notice on the door the next day and told me that I am a ------- -----.

A few minutes later the police officer came over again. ---------- did not yet replace the hinges as she was told. I was told again that she can evict me for going up the stairs too loudly or letting the door shut behind me. There was also nothing I could do even though he had called me a ------- -----.

Although their threats are never backed up by eviction notices because there are no grounds for eviction they have made my life inconvenient and more stressful than necessary.

That is where I am now. When I went down to see if my clothes were dry I realized she had stopped the dryer from drying my clothes. The person who is supposed to help me in this situation, is the one harassing me. Not only have they made my life uncomfortable, they have hurt my feelings and continually upset me.

I am so glad that I have come across this review I have wanted to vent about this myself on numerous ocassions. That usually comes in the middle of the night or early mornings when I am awoken by the lady who wrote this review. I live in the same building as this lady and too have prayed for her eviction near every night and/or morning when I hear "Slam, kaclunk, kaclunk, slam" as she is leaving "Slam, thud, thud, slam" as she is coming back. She is one of the most rude, disrespectful, and inconsiderate neighbors I have ever had the displeasure of living near. Although after the incedent on sunday and hearing her fathers vulgar and disrespectal actions I now understand where she gets it from. The review is written by one side of a story. If you wish to hear the rest of the story I say find the accused and hear the other half. The accused has been one of the most helpful and a blessing ever since the day we met. Unlike the person who wrote this review who hides behind sneaky actions due to being ashamed of their own actions and with good reason as she should be ashamed of the inconciderate actions she shows towards others. On several different times this lady has closed the exterior door of our building when I was following her with arms full of items. As well she has done this to one of our elderly neighbors. As for the dryer on sunday you should know that it was not the accused who opened the dryer door. Anytime the reviewer is doing her laundry it takes the better part of the day and on several ocassions she has been known to remove other people's clothing while in the washer and then tying up both machines so as though you are unable to dry your clothes. So reviewer I say to you please know the truth before you go making flase aligations. Now the dog. I too questioned if the dog lived here or not due to it being here for so long and her not cleaning up after it. Before she moved in I could walk out our back door and not have to worry even though there are several dogs in our building. The sign that had been photo'd is a good thing because it helps my next thought. There is a set of steps next to the reviewer's door and instead she will choose to go through a door let it slam shut and proceed down the back stairs even though everyone knows that there is a new born baby in the building. I mean there was a sign in the front yard for a week so it is not like you didnt know but yet you persist and slamming doors and inconviencing the entire building. The walls of my apartment have rattled several times when she is either leaving or entering a door. At all hours of the day and night you can tell when she is in her kitchen because you can hear the cupboard doors bouncing shut. She is a petite woman which is what confuses me cause her boyfriend who lives in the same apartment and is atleast twice her size but barely makes a sound. He will even hold a door. So how can the smaller of two people be the loudest and most disruptful. To this day and especially this past week this lady has been slamming around and dropping furniture until 10pm near every night. Then stopping in and out of the building with total disregard for any of her neighbors. So in conclusion I say this, To The office Staff: If you can, inorder to avoid any severe situations in the near future I would make sure that the reviewers father never be allowed back on property because I seriously feel that upon his return it may become a bad situation. About the lady who wrote this, can someone pack her bags and show her which way Burger King is?. To the reviewer: Please move!!! Please move!!! Please move!!! Please move!!! Please show some concideration towards others and I found it rather funny how I can tell you schedule based on the order of sounds that I hear. Please move!!! Please move!!! Please move!!! Please move!!! To readers of this: Always remember there are two sides to every story and this one is lop sided. Review of the complex: It is a great starter place and if you do things right you will get your feet on the ground. Fair pricing. Usually pretty quiet unless you get the above reviewer as a neighbor then I suggest big pillows or ear plugs. Parking sometimes can be a pain but within a small distance there is always a spot. If you wanna come home stumbling drunk though the parking can be too far sometimes. The staff themselves can be moody at times but if you can say your always happy at work then you have a better job then I. There is a Burger King, Price Chopper, 24hr. Sunoco all with in walking distance. At the end of the drive is bus route 22 which can get you most places. Next door to the complex is a park with jogging paths. The lots are fairly maintained during the winter. Ther is kind of a tennis court and a pool for the summer. This building doesn't have a bunch of stuff all over the halls unless they are door mats. There are exterior security doors with buzzer for each apartment. If you wanna be out side the city but close enough to still get to work it is the place.

You did not "come across this review, you called the police on me for writing it! Thank you for the personal attacks. Your credibility is impeccable not only because you are the husband of the person who I wrote the review about and the guy who called me a ??------- -----,?? but also because you have flawless spelling and grammar. One of my favorite lines is ??although after the incedent on sunday and hearing her fathers vulgar and disrespectal actions I now understand where she gets it from.?? I swear this was one of the examples in an elementary school English book I had of what not to do. By ??incedent?? did you mean incident? I think you should have capitalized Sunday. I??m not quite sure what you meant by disrespectal??disrespectful maybe? Besides that the sentence structure is horrible. My dad just does not take vulgarities from men to women lightly. It??s considered disgusting. ??The accused has been one of the most helpful and a blessing ever since the day we met.?? Now there are many problems with this sentence too. ??The accused has been one of the most helpful,?? what does that even mean? The most helpful what? Did you mean to write that or did you just have a brain glitch? When you accused me of making ??flase aligations?? did you mean false allegations? If you did your guess was not even close. Also this word you have created ??photo'd?? what is that? ??If you wanna come home stumbling drunk though the parking can be too far sometimes.?? Is that how you promote the apartment complex? If you wanna? Yes complaining about the parking if you drove home stumbling drunk can be a -----??I guess. I wouldn??t know though because (not cause) I don??t drive drunk nor do I get so drunk I must stumble. I am glad you responded. I am glad that you have not falsely accused me of disrespecting people (especially the elderly). I am glad you have justified your childish actions with more false accusations about me. Next time if you would like to respond please have someone educated proof read your response. It??s hard to read the run on sentences. It??s hard to determine what exactly you mean. Most of all it pollutes my review page. Thank You
