I live on the bottom apartment, i just moved in 1 month ago, but the people upstairs are ridiculously loud, they stomp when they walk, there are no kids there below the age of like 8 or 10, it sounds like the are doing this on purpose, would you please send a note to all upstaris tenants asking that they have curtesy for other tenants and to keep it down, it gets to the point where i just want to start banging on the cieling....but this will cause bad problems....the other neighor smokes ciggs outside the house and throws his butts by my front door and down on the grass right in front of my sliding door....its been driving me nuts since i moved in, again...please help, by sending a note to all tenants asking them to keep it quiet, they walk hard all night...no kidding...2am 3am 4am, i getting ready to have a baby and i get woken up in middle of night scared by lound bangs from them upstairs jummping around, what if that my child being woken up like that, we WILL have serious problems here.

Welcome to living on a bottom floor apartment maam! I sympathize with your plight, but I can tell you based on experience that complaining to the management team will yield you no results. The best advice that anyone can give you is call the Walkill PD when they get real loud especially in the wee hours of the morning. Why on earth did you take a bottom floor apartment? Maybe, just maybe, if you talk to management, they can relocate you to a top floor apartment somewhere?

Let me reply to this note...i also live at the bottom floor and i feel like the person upstairs is constantly moving things around but good thing for me i'm out of the house from 2pm until 1am so most of the day. I can live without at times its annoying, the walking i can understand sounds like there walking with sneakers.

I live in a second floor unit and I try to walk as softly as possible but those floors are covered w/carpet for a reason...they are old and worn, every step I take I feel the floor squeak and buckle. I can only imagine what the sound would be like if there was no carpet. These apartments are old and worn and all mgmt does when a tenant moves out is slap a coating of paint and shampoo the carpet for the new tenant..
