Good: nice view from apartment, close to mall, shopping, etc..

Bad: Exhorbitant rent increases at every opportunity. Dealing with management about a problem will get you the runaround... They took SEVEN months to fix our toilet... not a cent in compensation, not even an apology. It was only fixed after a threat to report them to the local housing authority. Management is haughty and dishonest. There was a break-in and rape with 200ft of apartment, management refused to increase security measures.

I am a resident in the Gardens; not to say that there aren't any problems with vandalism, etc., but things are happening in other complexes as well. Case in point: a complex just down the road, Sherwood Forest, had a shoot out; Stevens Manor has had several shoot outs; graffiti was tagged on private homes on Goshen Turnpike, etc. It's really not fair to say that this kind of stuff happens only here, it's happening ALL AROUND THE AREA.
PS: If you read the local papers, the man accused of raping a woman here last summer was found INNOCENT OF ANY CHARGES THROUGH DNA TESTING!!

Yes, there are better places to live, if you can afford them. I think Imperial Gardens offers spacious apts. at reasonable rents, compared to other places. The things that are occuring here, is just a sign of the times. I have family that bought a condo in Hillside Village; I hear they regret that move, because there is no management office there, no one to address problems to; they also have problems with teens loitering, graffiti, etc. So, if you want cheap rent, go somewhere like Stevens Manor, (which, in my opinion, are not nice apts, and the grounds are not well maintained), but to each his own.
But, I am curious as to why you respond to posters when it's obvious you no longer reside here? Are you some kind of watchdog? Do you hold a grudge against Westminster or something? Do you have nothing else to do besides looking out for disgruntled residents? There are people who have lived here for MANY years, and are happy living here now, just the way they were when they first moved in. I wonder if it's any better where you live now? You know the saying: opinions are just like -------s - everybody has one!! HAVE A GREAT DAY

I have been a tenant in the Ridge since March '05. I'm a woking person gone for most of the day. I'm happy with my apartment and have not encountered many of the problems other tenants are having. As in many large complexes there will be instances of vandilism,un-ruly teens, etc.. Not that this should be accepted but unfortunately some people do not realize the value of having a nice place to live. My only complaint I have is parking..In my situation I'm gone most of the day and when I come home in the evening my neighbors who have guests visit take up a majority of the spaces and I'm stuck with no parking space. I think there should be tenant and guest parking and when there are no guest parking available cars should park along the curb.

Overall this is a nice community to live in.

Imperial Ridge is the worst apartment complex i have ever lived in there fees are bogus they have been known to have poison ivey by there pool and there senstivity to there residents are awful since the management changed Imperial ridge has become money grubbing if you want a nice place to live don't come here when there taking your money there nice but after they have you in a lease if your short $20 for you rent they will drag you to court and then charge you for court fees.
