Unwanted Roommates

We lived in the gardens for about 18 months and for the most part it was allright, only minor inconveniences that go along with renting in a large complex. What prompted us to move was the arrival of some unwanted roommates living in our celings and walls. Yes, during the winter some squirrels had made their homes therein. We were awakened in the wee morning hours by scratching and chewing by our unwanted guests. We reported this to maintenence and was assured that an exterminator would take care of the problem, but soon thereafter the problem which was once isolated to our bedroom had made its way to the living room. After that we made call after call and had no relief until the spring came and the squirrels moved out. This was enough of a scheev factor to prompt us to go. I think that we were so distracted with the squirrels that we didn't really notice any of the drug/vandalism problems. Also, I have to say, all of the neighbors in our building were quiet and friendly, so that probably had something to do with our perception of the community overall. I will say, that on the day we moved out someone had put fresh grafitti on our building's wall. Maybe it is getting unruly over there. I would say if you are an animal lover then Imperial Gardens is the place for you.

just to add one more thought the maintenence man is very overworked, but dispite that fact he remains very dedicated/friendly. He is a great assest to the complex.
