I found out I was to be working in N.Y. for three months about four days before I had to move. In the frantic apartment searching that went on I found the Avalon Communities web page.

My time here has been very enjoyable. I have talked with the staff a number of times about times and every time they have been courteous, professional and the problem (whatever it was) was resolved quickly.

I saw what some of the prior Reviewers wrote about the college students and I must say I missed all of that.

Parking has never been a problem though I should note on my second night there I accidentally parked in a reserved slot and almost had my car towed so they DO monitor who has a parking tag and who does not. I consider that a huge plus.

Noise - My apartment is on the 10th floor and I cannot vouch for either nose or destruction (IE college students). I have a stairwell on one side and my empty bedroom (living in the living room next to the heater since I didn't need to heat two rooms) on the other so the only noise I heard was occasional chatter from the hallway or the occasional opera music while in the bathroom from a nearby apartment.

I never had a problem with security but they really should fix the door connecting with the garage - it rarely requires the key or the button (inside) to open the door.

Construction... I have not had a problem with anything going on in the building but the construction on road coming from the garage has made that road one of the worst I have ever traveled on. PLEASE FIX IT

Again, overall it was an extremely easy and pleasant experience. I have no problem recommending this to anyone that will be in the AoTS area.
