I have been staying at the Avalon on the Sound community for close to 2 years now and I promise never to stay in an Avalon property ever again and actively discourage my friends who are considering staying in any of communities. Here are some of my issues:
1. All the people at the concierge are very rude and impolite
2. My car gets stickered in my own parking spot because the new flimsy card is not on the rear view mirror (it falls down frequently) but you could clearly see the old parking permit
3. My car gets towed away from front of the building. I came back from getting my groceries and went in ask the concierge for a cart to take my grocery to my apartment. When I came down to return the car, the car has been towed. The concierge does nothing to tell the tow truck that I will come down in a moment. When I ask the concierge, who took the car away, he lies to me saying that he has not seen it and does not know the towing company people. And 15 min later he is talking to the same tow truck person.
4. There are 10 visiting passes for entire community, which are booked early in the morning. Now visitors have no place to park but do street parking - even if they are willing to pay and take parking.
5. For 5 months last year there was construction going on in front my side of the building with constant noise 24 hours. Not a single letter of apology came from the manager.
I do not know how plugged in are you guys to the happenings of the community in New Rochelle. But as we plan to move out of this community, I cannot tell how horrific is your service and how rude is your staff. They treat us and our guests as we are living for free in this community and they are doing a big favor by speaking to us.
I am going to cross-post this mail on several message boards and expect you to do something about it. It probably will not help me in anyways as we plan to move out in next few months, but for future residents it will make life simpler and easier which was your value proposition when we moved in.
