You should not move into Avalon on the Sound East. The following problems exsist:

- Billing problems ( errors in billing, in my experience over billing many several hundred dollars in many cases)

- Maintence

- Staff attending too needs

- Annoyance of staff because the leasing office is located by the entrance and staff members become a "part of your life"

- Parking problems ( many cars have been broken into and damaged; lack of adquate security. Also car alarms in the garage go off frequently, so if you live on a lower floor that will be a problem with the sound)

- Drink college kids. Many of them From Iona College. They are loud!!

My honest conclusion from living in Avalon on the Sound East for over a year now, and from what others have had problems with. Do not move into the place unless money is not an option for you, and you do not mind dealing with maintence issues and the other many issues. Otherwise it is very overpriced. The positive is the location, and it really is a nice looking building, with very nice apartment units.

This building sucks! I pay 200 a month for parking spot that someone else is always in. They have a tv room and none of the tvs work. Oh yeah before i forget the staff here is completely incapable of handling any type of issues that you constantly have caused by living here at this dump. Overall this is the projects,JUST OVER PRICED!

Very good insights.. it is the projects, with the only difference being that the cheaping building materials to make the building actually make it look nice from the outside and inside (although your apartment falls apart). Also, there is no one selling drugs on the property, only on the block next to the building. Also, don't forget that the projects don't have nice kitchens. We have a nice kitchen with dish washers and such. PS- If someone was in my spot they would get a good talking to, note on the car. If they park there again they will have nice key marks in their car
