Pros:
Great location. Excellent commute to the city. Reasonably nice apartments, though a tad over priced
Cons:
a. Don't believe the hype about being able to move from one community to another - you hv to pay a hefty fine (one month's rent) if you move to a community within 30 miles.
b. You cannot break the lease. Apparently there is a policy in place now, that you cannot break the lease, once you've signed it - you're on the hook for the entire term of the lease. I am thinking of taking this to the consumer court. Though its probably a waste of time and money.
c. Parking is $100-200 pm.


On the whole, its a honey trap. In today's economy, I wouldn't want to live in a place like this.

Are there any better apartments that you could recommend in the New Rochelle area? I looked at Avalon but was concerned because of the management. I'm looking for a studio or 1 bm that is convenient to the Metro-North. Any ideas?
