These buildings are old and you can hear the neighbors through the wall, but I would not live anywhere else. Once you get to know the neighbors, you find it is a great family place. I wish I could own my own home, but my second choice is very pleasant. They have a playground on the premises, and when I don't go to that playground, there is the Hudson Park a short walk away. My neighbor moved out and went to live at the Avalon, but she moved back to Harbor House and said she learned her lesson.
I went from a one bedroom to a two bedroom, and the ladies in the office made the whole transition painless, just a lot of paperwork like when you first move in. I was happy in my one bedroom and was equally happy with the new apt. My toilet was making a noise and not flushing properly, but I called the maintenace and they fixed it right away. Although I almost freaked out when I saw a few bugs, I called the maintenance dept and signed up for free extermination service. After two months, the bug problem was gone. The best thing about that is that they didn't come in and spray bug spray all over the place, it was some kind of gel, that did not affect our breathing and my kid was not playing in it afterwards.
I am now settled into the new place and everything is working smoothly. I live with the comfort that I live where the Owners do care. JUST LOOK AT THE PROPERTY, ITS BEAUTIFUL!
