I am ten months into my lease and am happy to say that I love it here. Particularly, I enjoy the staff, the accomodations, the other residents, and the neighborhood. The staff are very friendly and well informed. Particularly, the doorman greet me by name and immediately alert me of any packages that arrived, saying "I think that Freaks and Geeks DVD finally got here". The dry cleaners welcome me with a smile and cheerfully accomodate me when a shirt is not done to satisfaction. Maintenance has responded and fixed every request within 24 hrs. The leasing office staff were quick to correct a dispute regarding who received free gym membership. The luxurious gym, relaxing community room, bike storage, mail center, laundry room, dry cleaners, and rooftop are clean, operated with efficiency, and genuinely pleasant. I'll lift in the morning, ride my bike to work, come home to a smile from the doorman, pick up mail, fresh direct, and dry cleaning, drop off the bike, shoot some pool with a resident and watch the news, grab some drinks at Ulysses on Stone street, relax on the roof deck, and play guitar with my neighbor. Many of the residents are professional twenty somethings out of school, new to the city, and as green and excited as their freshman year of college. It's common for neighbors to knock on your door inviting you to a party upstairs, watch a film in the community room, or go terrorize the local drinkeries. The neighborhood is quiet but not dead. The bars and restaurants are fantastic. Full but not packed. There are NO tourists so everyone you meet lives right around the corner. Live music. Great dancing. And home to some of the most sincere and beautiful people I've met in this great city.
