Before I moved in I read all the reviews and was cautious. I have to say in the last 10 months I personally have not had ANY issues with management or staff. I've requested maintenance and it's always done quickly. I've witnessed hallway carpet being replaced, garbage rooms being kept spotless, all the exterior glass of the building washed since I moved in. The staff even installed shelving for me and a pot rack for pocket change. If you like to cook, one huge negative is they don't have backslashes. I do enjoy the kitchen however. The Valet and cleaning service are top notch. I live above floor 15, which seems to be a bit more professional but I have never experienced anything like someone sleeping in the mail area! I don't see how that is even possible. That made me laugh. I have smelt "weed" and heard some muffled music but seriously, only on a few occasions in 10 months... this isn't a retirement home! Surprised at some of the attacks on maintenance and doorman staff, the reviews below do not depict the way the building is now, that is certain. See for yourself, ask tenants as they walk outside of the building if you visit the property. The other tenants have always been friendly. I usually don't post on message boards, I am surprised I am compelled to defend the building... and still waiting for the management team to screw up so I can feel the comments below are valid. I've lived in four other apartments in Manhattan, over the last 15 years, 10 Hanover Square has been one of the best... so far! I hope it stays that way. To those negative reviews I would offer this advice. Visit the building after 7PM, stand next to the unit you want to rent. If you notice a problem... then don't sign a lease!
