I had a two year lease at this building, the last three months of which were finished out by subletters. Unfortunately, they didn't leave the apartment in mint condition, and now the building is taking advantage by charging us exorbitant rates cleaning. As it is generally illegal for the building to deduct anything more than reasonable cost for repairs beyond normal wear and tear, I am planning to take them to Small Claims Court.
