I hate it

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006

I have lived here since January, as one of the first tenants. When I signed my lease I was told my floor would be done and ready to go by the time I moved in (maybe they meant by January 2007). Instead there was no carpeting down, the workmen were on the floor blasting music and yelling at eachother at 7 a.m., they would sandpaper the walls in the apartment next door while I was sleeping, the construction workers would leave cigarette butts outside my door. And to top it all off my first morning, I was woken up by what I thought was thunder, but I later found out it was the giant construction elevator outside. It would later greet me every morning at 6:30 am.

At the time I was told by management to get an air purifier to control the dust, to ignore the workers because they were union and didn't care and that they would put up smoking signs (which they never did).

I gave them a list of things wrong with the apartment and NOTHING has been fixed. The walls are NOT painted, only white washed which is a joke. Workers have entered my apartment without permission, and when they have permission its an ongoing thing. When I first moved in my windows were locked and now they open 2 inches. I smell smoke in my bathroom constantly. Elevators for tenants/visitors only, which is nice, are used for garbage and construction workers. And I would rather have them manned (i.e. not working properly) so that I wouldn't have to wait 5 hours for one.

I was told when I moved in that the gym would be ready by March, but instead it wasn't done until May 15. I have no problem with the size but all the free weights are missing and the tv's don't work. I was told the roof deck would be done by April and now its June 8th and the thing is nowhere near complete and is not what was promised. And the atrium stairs, let's just say their waiting for someone to get hurt before they finish them.
