don't believe the positive ones... trust me it's management. also don't believe it's just a handful of tenants making all these complaints on here, it's really the majority of the building thats unhappy and many people from the building writing on here. management is a joke, semi luxury building at best. not cheap either... can live in Murray Hill for the same price at a luxury building. and a REAL luxury building none the less...

Funny how my original post got deleted... But you know what? I'm not even going to waste my time rewriting some long a$$ post about what's wrong with this building when there's about 50 posts already saying the same thing. All 3 of these posts are suspicious to me... Especially "MaidenLane" and Happyat100maidenlane". I sooooo think you are management, it's not even funny. Not only because of your stupid post name, seriously who would make a post name like that if you weren't management, and because of your ridiculous praises about a building that is so obviously mismanaged. And I'd like to thank the guy who I talked to while waiting for the elevators last week for 20 minutes when they were down AGAIN for the 10th time this month alone. He turned me on to this web site, and I'm glad I can try to help other people from making the same mistake I made. And by the way, IBBLUES, I still think you're an idiot. It is a majority of unhappy tenants, and just because a whole whopping 3 people write that they are happy, doesn't mean there aren't many many many more people who are unhappy. Sounds like the happy is a minority to me... My advice to an prospective tenant is to carefully read all of the posts here and know what to look for when you come to this building for a look. Some things are obvious like the tiny gym, others aren't so obvious like the shoddy construction of the building and apartments. In any case, I still think almost all of the positive comments here on this site about this building are management, building employees, or leasing agents. And so you know, The Anthem on 34th between 2nd and 3rd has 600 Sq. Ft. Studio Alcoves (same size as some 1 bed's) for 2600 - 2800 a month. Much nicer building, way better management, true white glove builing, and hot neighborhood. If I could do it again, I'd choose there. And thats just 1 place in Murray Hill...

Yeah, it is a majority of people, I have to agree. Can't say all these people saying it's not the majority are management, but I bet anything at all at least 2 of them are! I've lived here since March, and although many people told me good things too, they all were saying "it was going to be great when things get finished". I don't know how they feel now, but I am not impressed. I'm not ready to set the building on fire or picket in front of this place, but I will definately not be resigning after my 13 months is up thats for sure. Place was over glorified by leasing agents, management and the brochures. Not even half of what it was made out to be as it is being completed. Not everything is bad, but certainly not good. Too much better stuff out there to choose this place over others knowing what I know now.

Just wanted to let you know that I am definately not management and find it quite humorous that you are convinced I am. As far as the comment that a majority of people are unhappy I just have to say that people who are happy are less likey to look for places (such as this website) to let their thoughts be known. Lastly I am paying slightly less than 2600 dollars a month for a spacious true one bedroom apt, not a studo alcove. Therefore it is not comparable to this Murray Hill building. I suggest you try to find something positive in the building and enjoy the rest of your lease.

"MaidenLane", please, you are management. Stop trying to play it off like you aren't. In any case, you are not paying $2,600 for a true one bed. I live in a studio, and my net effective is over $2,300 and I am here since March! Prices are going up, not down, so I find that extremely hard to believe. My next door neighbors have been here since February, are on a low floor (under the 10th floor), and have slightly over 725 Sq. Ft. and they pay over $3,000 net. Management, please. Focus on improving and stop lying. You're lying has brought it to this point, and to keep lying is just going to make it worse. Also, you are completely correct with people being less likely to come here to praise. People are more likely to come and complain. Statistics show that an unhappy customer is likely to tell 10 people that they are unhappy, as opposed to a happy customer only telling 3 people that they are happy. So more then likely, the amount of people on here complaining shows that the unhappy tenants are telling the other unhappy tenants which are coming here to spread the word and show these claims are valid and not lies. So with that being said, it shows that there really is a huge amount of people who are unhappy. Your statement backed up everyone's claim. The more people that come here to complain, the more it shows that there is a large amount of people in this building that are extremely unhappy and feel the same way as others. So, the only positive things I can find in this building is the fact that the front door guys are the best, and the fact that in several months, my lease is up and I can move on to a real luxury building and forget the mistake I made by signing the lease here.

You are really wrong by saying that its a majority of the tenants. I stood outside for 30 minutes, talked to every tenant that walked out (about 10 people) and every one of them said they loved the building. If you have any common sense, it clearly cannot be a minority of people who love the building. Unless they all happened to walk out of the building at the same time on a sunday. And i thought you were getting a lawyer to come. he just "happened" to cancel. how convenient.
From: hardrockjj2 Date: 08/07/2006
ibblues, you're a tool bro. seriously. I loved this building in the beginning too, so who knows, you might have gotten a good review from me too. EVERYONE THOUGHT THIS PLACE WOULD BE GREAT WHEN IT WAS FINISHED! Now that it is almost finished, you can see all the flaws. This place went from a majority of people being happy to a majority not being happy. You probably asked in the start of people moving in, so grow up. You never thought something was great at first and changed your mind later? Give me a break. If you had any common sense, you would start to ask your neighbors what they think now. Stop the same people who said they loved it 6 months ago and see if they say the same now. As for the lawyer, I didn't ask mine to come here, that was someone else. What was convenient though was that 100ML closed the atrium the night he was supposed to come to "clean". That was the first and the last time I saw it cleaned too... Kinda like your underoos!
