I was one of the first suckers to move into the building in the first of febuary. First the day before I moved in they said I could not have the appartment I had signed the lease for and moved me to another appartment two days later.
As with everyone else I was disappointed with the status of the appartment the ac didn't work stove didn't work painting wasn't even completed and I had to throw a fit to get them fixed.
I have had two major floods in my appartment with no compensation from the management at one point a leak was left unfixed for so long that mold was handing from the celing. I have been to the hostpital twice do to the conditions in the building once for asmatha from the dust with no carpet in the halls and once from the mold. Management said to send them the bills, I have and they have never compensated me in anyway other than suggesting I move ( after paying the fee for an eairly lease termanation ofcoarse.)
Then I recieved an offer to renew my lease and they upped my rent from $2,040 a month to $2,440. What is that they think people will honestly pay that for this dump' They should be paying us to stay! I talked to the leaseing office to see if there was a mistake and they told me that they are raising everyones rent as high as the law allows them. I currently live in a studio, they told me with the price increase I could get a one bedroom in the same building for less''''''' This management is not only stupid but negligent!
I say an renters association must be formed now. We have put up with this for too long!

I live in the building and have lived in the city for the past 8years and i think this is a great building. And from dealing with other management companies i must say the managers at this building is great. Alot of the tenants i noticed are not even New yorkers, word of Advice go live in at 90 west were there is a tenant association or move to a building you can afford...
