Avoid - Rented in 2006-2007. There's a website devoted to the problems associated with the building. Search 188 east 93rd street online and you'll find it. Live-in Super hard to reach. Management company charges $25 for building key. Rodent problem in my 3rd floor apt. Keyhole jams for both my apt and my neighbor. Overall, the apt was in poor condition and dirty when moved in. ...Full review of 188 E 93rd Street

long term tenant - Been living in the building for a while. Mostly out of laziness to move out. I feel like a stranger in a building i have lived in for 4 years because the rate of turnover of other tenants is high. The building is quite nice and apartments are well maintained inside. Building facilities are kepts in check. Rents have increased in the building - which is fine - rate of increase is about ...Full review of 401 West 22nd Street

ENJOY TURN-OF-THE-LAST-CENTURY LIVING on the FABULOUS UPPER EAST SIDE! - This gem of an old-school New York tenement has it all:

? Totally unpredictable hot water!!!
Enjoy creating exciting new and interesting shower choreography as you dance around and away from the sometimes-steady stream of "scalding-no-freezing-no-lukewarm-no-freezing-no-scalding" water. Fun for the whole family!

? Thoroughly unreliable heat!!!
Imagine the thrill of ...Full review of 416 East 73rd Street

Moved out - I have lived here for 7 years and just moved out. I agreed with the previous comment - Stonehenge mgt is nasty and they don't care about the tenants. The building is old and not sure why they coined themselves as "luxury building". Nothing is great other than the super/doormen and location of the building. I'd recommend you to spend $ on other newer/cheaper buildings in the ...Full review of 10 Downing Street

Don't Move in to 1160 Fifth Avenue!!! - We had a terrible experience with Goldfarb Properties, the manager of 1160 - we were the second tenant in a row to complain about the noise caused by an upstairs neighbor, took measurements that indicated that his piano practicing was twice as loud as the city code permitted and brought our complaints to Goldfarb to be addressed. Over the course of several months they repeatedly assured ...Full review of 1160 Fifth Avenue Apartments

It's all on the surface - At first glance, Kenton Place impresses with wooden floors, soapstone kitchen counters and Italian marble baths. Upon closer inspection it becomes obvious that these apartments are made for showing, not for actually living there: One can hardly think of a material less appropriate for a kitchen counter than soapstone (sculptors love it because of its softness...). The protective ...Full review of Kenton Place

Renters Be Warned - Just be aware of what you're getting into when you rent in this building. Heat and hot water frequently (multiple times per month) go off-line. The building has inadequate trash removal so the bags pile up which always draws foot long rats. Mice in the units are common. Renovations within the units are done on the cheap- no quality craftmanship here. The hall ways are barely maintained. ...Full review of 142 Sullivan Street
