I moved into 2 gold street August 2009 and I am very happy with my choice. My one bedroom apartment is beautiful and spacious. The buildings amenities such as the gym, pool, roof deck, and laundry facilities are great to have and kept up very nicely. As for the 2 Gold residents, everyone living here is young (or so it seems). I have seen some families with a couple of small children and some older adults but if I had to guess I would say the majority of people living at 2 Gold are in their mid to upper twenties. Personally I have never had a problem with noise here. I have never heard my neighbors music or anything in my apartment and I have never been told to keep the noise down. The only draw back is that there is currently a lot of construction going on around the building so driving can be difficult. However this does not make transportation difficult; because of being in the financial district there are tons of subways in the area not to mention there are often taxis in front of the building. When you do have to walk to find a cab 2 Gold Street is located in such a safe area it is never scary walking to Water or Broadway where you can always find taxi.
