The apartments are so large-- I have a huge one bedroom and fabulous closet space for an NYC apartment. The doormen are great. They all are. But the Superintendent who lives in the building-- he is smarmy, unreliable, doesn't give a crap, lies to you-says he'll come the next day to fix things, never does (have to ask 5 or 6 times). The only time he was remotely friendly was when I gave him a Holiday Bonus (out of the kindness of my heart). He seems like a miserable person I don't know why he won't find another line of work.

Another thing, the ventilation or something is off if you live facing the interior "courtyard" area. It is so hot in the apartment even when its cold outside. I generally take a wrench and turn off both heating furnaces in my apartment even in the winter. Only when its 17 degrees to I need it on.

A bonus: Two washers and dryers on every floor. They work well.

If you want the space and can tolerate some of the other BS- aren't too high maintenance, I think its worth the bang for your buck.
