Lots of room for improvement

I have lived in this building since it was newly constructed. Moved in 2001. It was great to move into a new apartment no one had lived in. The building at the beginning was well maintained. I agree with one of the comments here that it was not well constructed. It's true the walls are cracked, which is a little scary. In the last several years the maintenance of the building has gone down the drain and I do believe is all because of poor management. The fitness center is not kept clean enough and not all Televisions work. The laundry room should be cleaned more often.

The doormen and the concierge are usually nice, there could be one or two that might not be so friendly, especially the superintendant which you don't see very much of except around the holidays in the lobby waiting for the yearly christmas tips.

The location is great there's a parking lot and supermarket right across the street. Subway lines are a block away as well as a post office. The area is full of tourists which slows you down when you try to walk across town. The restaurants aren't that great, it's not really a neighborhood.

If you are looking for your money's worth keep looking. You'll find something else around the same price range with better maintenance and a friendlier/cleaner environment.

First of all the building is not what I would consider luxury. A one bedroom apartment is big enough for one person. If you are expecting to move in with other people I dont' recommend moving in one of those. If it's for yourself then that should be fine. If you are looking for luxury look into buying a condo.
