Building used to be great until Stonehenge bought it - Ok, so I am one of the original tenants that moved into this building when it first opened in late 2001, so have seen it change over the years. I have lived in 3 different apartments in the building over the past 7 years (originally shared a 2 bdrm with a roommate, changed to a 1 bdrm after my roommate got married, and then moved back to a 2 bdrm a year ago for extra ...Full review of The Olivia

Horrible building - This is just a horrible building. The biggest problem is the staff which make no attempt to be helpful, and the building management which seems to have given up. The Herald Towers tries to promote itself as a luxury doorman apartment building. It is more like a bad college dormitory. In fact, several of the floors in this building are now used as dormitory space for a local college. which ...Full review of Herald Towers

Five years at the Ritz - I've lived at the Ritz for 5 years. I'm not going to write a tome, but here are the things you need to know. Noise -- It is incredibly noisy here. The Fire Department on the corner is constantly in alarm and the horns are blowing 24 hours a day. Cell Phone Coverage -- If you don't have Verizon, forget living here. AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile service are useless here. Wiring ...Full review of Ritz Plaza

The Helena Is Not Worth Your Money - I moved here with my husband because we needed more space and the apartment that we saw had a home office that we could convert into a baby's room (which is great) so that we don't have to pay astronomical rent. Then, about 3 months ago, construction started in the ground floor space which was EXTREMELY ANNOYING since one of us is home all day with the baby. We complained about ...Full review of The Helena

Find another place to live - We've lived there for 2.5 years. Pros: 1) Good location, 2) One good leasing manager (Rudy), 3) Clean building Cons: 1) Absolutely useless Resident Services - the company that takes care of all administrative and financial problems, 2) Dirty and polluted neighborhood, 3) Second lease manager is absolutely useless (Kenyata) After we have already moved out, we've got ...Full review of Victory Apartments

I loved the building, but it really devolved last 2 years or so. - I lived at Riverbank west from 2002 until 2009. When Marni was there, she worked with me and found me an apt. on a lower floor for the same rate, even though this was a few years before the financial crisis we are in at this time. This spring, I tried to work with the management; initially, they tried to raise my rent -- good luck with that one. People were moving out of the ...Full review of Riverbank West

Cheated by landlord during residence and after - The grounds are the only benefit of living in Peter Cooper Village or Stuy Town. We were often harassed by neighbors who didn't like the sound of footsteps over them. We don't wear shoes inside. We had area rugs that covered the majority of the area, which was verified by an in person inspection by the Tenant Relations woman. It took management 4 full months and threat of legal ...Full review of Stuyvesant Town
