Hated my apartment from day one, but at $995 (back in 2002) for an efficiency studio by Lincoln Center, sounded like a good deal. Not for too long, they raised my rent by over $100 a year for my last two leases before I decided to move out, and half of the people that wanted to renew for 2006 weren't offered new leases and their apartments were converted to illegal hotel rooms. There's also a mice problem in the building, my apartment got broken into my first year, there's leakings in the bathrooms ceilings...
