I agree 100% with the prior poster. Constant construction in the area makes it very noisy (and I was on a high floor). I moved to the UWS (generally considered a much more expensive area) and I'm paying LESS! That tells you how out of whack with the market 71 Broadway is. Plus, they now rent out a ton of apartments to business like Deutsche Bank so it is very transcient which = less safe. They dont spray for bugs and it's getting to be a problem as a result (it never was when prior management paid for pest control once per month). On top of it all I agree with another poster about the windows. The new management never cleans them and they are really gross. When I complained they said something to the effect of "well, we would clean them, but it doesnt make sense with all the construction going on because they would just be filthy again so soon." I was dumbfounded by that response. There are several new buildings in the Financial Dist on Wall Street and the Crest and 45 Wall and 90W that I hear are nicer than 71 Broadway. I'd give them a shot before I came to this mess.
