My husband and I have been living here for almost 3 months now and we have no complaints. We like it a lot so far. We were leary after reading the reviews on this site, but we are glad that we decided on renting here. The maintenance staff is fantastic -- they have taken care of the 2 minor problems we've had on the same day we notified them (ie. tub not draining, noisy toilet). The location is great: within a 1 to 2 block distance from most of the train lines. The concierge is knowledgeable about the area, friendly, and reliable. The leasing office made us feel at home from the very beginning, and they were great in answering all our questions and concerns honestly (for example, when we told them our concern about the noise level after reading the reviews, they didn't deny it but did mention that the construction near the building would stop soon). While I am on the noise subject, we have had NO problems with noise from the street. We are on a high floor and have not had any noise problems whatsoever. We don't even hear our neighbors. Our only concern is how much the rent will increase when we want to renew our lease. We are crossing our figures that it won't be anywhere near a 20-30% increase like what this area has experienced lately. We definitely recommend 71 Broadway and plan to stay here for a few years.
