I have lived here for 2 years, and think it is a wonderful building, great staff, superior management. My family, including a young child, feel very safe and happy here.
I have read the negative reviews and want to say that this is a very busy neighborhood so if you don't like busy, don't live in Manhattan. That is no reflection on the building. It is like living in a very good quality hotel without the transient factor. I have, and will continue to recommend it to my friends and family.

Any comments about noise at night? Road construction or otherwise?? And how often do they ring the bells at Trinity Church? Thank you.

The bells ring every Sunday on and off from 10AM to 1PM, and occasionally in the afternoon on Sunday. Every now and then I notice they are ringing on another day but I think that is a holiday situation. Each ringing is less than 10 minutes. Pretty loud if you are on that side, but really beautiful and over quickly. I am right above the Broadway traffic and I don't really hear it. I am a native NY'er so that may have something to do with it, but it is one of the quietest places I have lived, The people in the building are super respectful and quiet, and the best staff in the NY apartment world works here. There is always road construction in Manhattan, comes and goes but in the 3 years I have been here I have had exactly three nights with evening construction on the street, and they were con ed emergency service. I have a young child who sleeps really well in this apartment. So, hope that helped!
