Door slamming is out of control

I mean for god sakes just take one extra second to gently close the door! It's not that difficult. These doors are very heavy, so when someone slams it (intentionally or not), it causes things to vibrate. So not only is the sound of the door slamming really loud, but it also causes my door and the furniture in my apartment to shake. This is really irritating, especially in the middle of the night when I'm sleeping! And why the heck are these neighbors slamming the door almost every night and all night long? What's with all the coming and going? The only thing I can think of is that they're running some sort of brothel inside their apartment.

So just because it's NY, it's ok to be out right inconsiderate to your neighbors? I think not. I'm fine with the coming and going, but this is unnecessary noise that can be contained if folks would just be more considerate. Seems like it's folks like you that need to get out of the city.
