Taking security deposits for minor scraps on countertops!!! - BEWARE of this landlord! I lived in the building for 6 years and when I moved out they hit me for $1000 to replace the Plywood white Formica counter-tops that had three or four marks smaller than a nail clipping from your little finger. Ive heard that they have hit others too for $1600-$1700 for the same thing. The size of the counter-top is 10sq ft so we're talking over a $100/ sq ft ...Full review of 360 West 34th Street

Run like a hotel - This building puts the needs of its tenants second. The management is more into running this residential building as a hotel. They advertise on different websites, such as Sky City Apartments, which specializes in short stay hotel rooms. There are tons of tourists who check in, abuse the building and the tenant's privileges, and check out days later. ...Full review of Riverbank West

Response to fire response - I have lived in this building for 3 years. My experience has been simply awesome. Any minor issues I have had I take to the On site agent - Patty, who deals with them in a courteous, polite and swift manner...every single time! Fires are sadly a consequence of extreme weather associated with the power surges and extreme weather and NOT a fault of management OR Landlord. I believe it to ...Full review of Wellesley

Not suitable for NY winter - Almost all apartments have nice harbor view, but it comes with the price: the building is old and window insulation literally non existent. Also built-in a/c units are not insulated as well, work poorly and maintenance people will do nothing about it. They will whisper you "get an indoor heater, it will be cheaper". After I got 2 heaters to warm my one bedroom, my ...Full review of Gateway Plaza

THE TRUTH ABOUT 100 MAIDEN LANE - Here are a few things you should know about 100 Maiden Lane before renting here: 1) The plumbing is terrible. The maintenance people are at my apartment at least once every 2 weeks. The toilet keeps clogging. One maintenance person explained that the building is retrofitted and when they did the work they made the pipes too narrow. The plumbing is fine if you are constipated, otherwise ...Full review of 100 Maiden Lane
