I actually enjoy living here even though it is a bit pricey for me but I think all of manhattan is that way. Here are a few things you should know before moving in though.

1. There is a building close by on west st that also goes by 90W so I've occassionally had my mail mixed up with theirs, very frustrating.

2. The sun deck closes at 11 and because of the young tenants that can't handle being responsible late night and break windows, it is strictly enforced.

3. The doormen don't really stop too many people or help out too much and are more of an appearances amenity than actually functional.

4. The GYM is awesome

5. No DirectTV service which means no NFL ticket for all you football fans :(

6. Closest reasonably priced grocery store is across the West End Highway in Battery Park City (Gristedes) and is about a 6 min walk from building

7. Laundry machines on every floor but it costs $4.80 (and will probably rise soon) to do one load

8. Lots of construction takes place throughout the year on the west end highway side (west side) of building and be prepared to hear every jackhammer's hammering in the morning.

9. Location is great, right next to the 1, R, W, 4, 5, J, M, Z. Great access to the rest of city but if you are going up town any where on the east side of the island you need to catch a cab on Trinity (its the only street going north besides West End Highway near 90W). If you're going far up on the east side then just ask for the FDR.

Aside from this the maintenance is pretty good about fixing things quickly, tenants are nice, neighborhood is a little flat but still ok and location is great in terms of access to lower manhattan and lower brooklyn. BuLYzGcKAVo8MQPlcXJq
