99 John Street

Cheap, fake hardwood floors. Heat/AC shotty/inconsistent. Absolutely no view or sunlight. All plumbing questionable. Stupid layout for a 2 bedroom/1 bath apartment. First of all, the bathroom is way too small. Second, the bedroom layouts are ridiculous. Kitchen is small. The only other living space is the living room, and the long, narrow hallway that runs from the front door to the living room (past both bedrooms). Neighborhood has limited dining and grocery choices. John and Fulton Streets have ghetto stores. Doorman is annoying. Lax security.

The following grocery stores are in the neighborhood: Associated, Zeytuna, Jubilee (24 hours/overpriced), CTown (staples only, no gourmet items). There is also a Pathmark (24 hours) between the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges. The Union Square Greenmarket (where the restaurant chefs shop)is just one subway stop away (14th Street).
