If you are a juice head or a Paris Hilton want-a-be this place is for you. Otherwise, run.. run hard, run fast, run far far far away from this egocentric yuppie hell hole. I have never been sourounded by so many tool bags, what a disaster.

Lived here?

It's a shame because it seems that is all that is moving to the city as of the last couple of years. I moved here in 2000 from Detroit and even I can recognize the change in complete idiots moving here just because it is currently "the cool thing to do".

Rockrose is no good. They are a completely impersonal entity. They care nothing for their tenants and try to do nothing to help them. By the way if you are planning on moving to this building, be aware that it is in proceedings to become a condominium. You will have to sign a lease that has a stipulation stating that, at any point during the term of your stay, Rockrose reserves the right to evict you with 60 days notice. They are currently not renewing the leases of tenants that have lived in the building for years because of this situation.

Rockrose is a straight shooter. They provide excellent apartments for the price. New York real estate is complex. They tell your how it impacts you. If you do not like to be subject to changing your apartment on 60 day notice then rent elsewhere. But what are the odds of 60 day evictions? How many apartments has the Landlord evicted tentants using that clause within one year of the lease? What do the other Landlords put in their leases about terminations for owner use or conversion. Pretty much the same.
