180 Montague might as well be in Manhattan. That has pluses and negatives:
Positives:
Close to a number of subways
Near the promenade
Proximity to the city (20 minutes by subway to center of Manhattan)
Doormen are fairly attentive
Caution:
If you live in an apt facing the street, be prepared for noise. The windows even on the higher floors don?t block out the frequent drilling, garbage trucks, car horns, and the like.
There is also no storage. I know a couple who rent a 2 BR just so they can use the second for storage.
Garden of Eden (the food store) trucks come at all hours of the night and the garbarge outside the place piles up and smells.
Don?t move in during a week day. I had to bribe people to move their cars so our moving truck could park in three contiguous spots.
The ?hardwood floors? are not true hardwood; it?s a cheap substitute.
