Not "state of the art", but worth the price

Years at this apartment: 1999 - 2005
I lived at the Beaux Arts (in the 307 E 44th St bldg) from March 1999 until Feb 2005. The building is very old, so if your intention is to live in a "luxury high rise", the Beaux Arts is not for you. However, the doorman are great, and if something in your apartment breaks, it is fixed quickly. Finally, the rent is very reasonable and you can't beat the location. Just remember, when the General Assembly at the UN opens it's session each September, the Secret Service will shut down the street for the entire opening week (so you will need to carry ID at all times to prove you live in the building). Other than that one minor inconvenience, I recommend the Beaux Arts.
