This place is a nightmare, and has been since day one. I think that the majority of the positive reviews on here must have been submitted either by the sketchy management staff or the high college kids that live in the building.
As others have said, the management is horribly unprofessional. The owner capitalized on 9/11 benefits and slammed up a shoddy apartment that is constructed so poorly that things routinely break and you can actively participate in your neighbor's dinner conversation. Its really quite a benefit - because you can also smell what they are cooking (and/or smoking).
If you want to live downtown, do yourself a favor and look into the buildings run by real management companies with professional staff.
