TOTAL RIPOFF - YOU'LL BE SORRY YOU MOVED INTO THIS PLACE!

You can get so much more for your money at other places in the neighborhood.

Where to start...this place is luxury apartment living the same way Red Lobster is fine seafood dining. I am SO out of here after my 1-year lease is up!

The main problem with this building is that it was bought by the same owners as 63 Wall (next door) who turned it into apartments about a year ago. New amenities such as a roof deck, gym and lounge were never built for this building. Instead tenets are expected to use the facilities next door which are completely inadequate to accommodate hundreds of additional people from an entire extra building. To compensate for this, a new room was added to the gym and consists of 3--yes that's right, 3--treadmills! The gym isn't even important to me. This is just an illustration of how the owners of this building are trying to cut their overhead at the quality of life of tenets. I would imagine the people who live at 63 Wall are less than ecstatic about the huge influx of people in their space. You're also sharing bandwidth with the other building so even if you get high speed internet from RCN or Time Warner, it's painfully slow.

Additional information: repairs for something simple can take over a week; the roof deck is tiny (15x40) for 1 building let alone 2; construction is cheap (can hear through the walls and there are no studs in the walls--which means Firedog couldn't hang my plasma); they JUST started ground-up restoration on 2 buildings adjacent (1 Wall Ct and 75 Wall) so there is constant construction noise and dust on our windows; the front entrance is NOT on Wall Street, but actually on Beaver Street which is nothing more than an alleyway where all the trash from the surrounding buildings is left (see attached picture) which means that it's always ripe with roaches, rats and sleeping homeless people. Aside from being disgusting, it's NOT SAFE. To be fair, the lobby and my apartment look very nice and the staff (excluding the management office) is extremely friendly and helpful. However the shortcomings of living in this building completely overshadow any of the positives. You can do a lot better!!!
