I'm a real estate agent and I've lived in the crest building for the past year. I also recently signed a new lease. I understand that there are elevator issues, but besides that, I think the building is very functional, doormen are great, no bugs, service issues have been taken care of in a matter of days (for the unimportant), sometimes a matter of hours or minutes, and the facilities here, for the price, are pretty impossible to beat. I see every apartment building in this city and deal with pretty much every management company and I'd say this is one of the best. And as for value, besides going to 90 Washington, which I have to say is a dump, this is the best deal you're going to get in the financial district. Also, to highlight how good management was, when I was signing my new lease, I asked for half of my security deposit back (had to put down two months in the beginning) and they were happy to give it back. Asked once and received it last week.

Overall, I'm a very happy resident and hope others begin to appreciate what they have here.

That does not sound like the crest at all. I left my apt on july and Im still waiting for my deposit back! . Im really happy that I only signed a one year lease and that it ended. I have friends in buildings near by and I can say that based on a cost quality assesment the crest is definetly below average. I am surprised that being a real estate agent you gave such a high review... elevator issues jajaj one elevator for a building complex of more than 25 floors?? I am sure you are a good seller!!

Really? This must be either a joke or someone in the management office has taken writing classes. Anyone that can say that MetroLoft is "one of the best management companies" in the city is on some serious drugs. They are dishonest, don't return calls and routinely fraudulently bill tenants for electric charges. And if you believe the doormen are good - you would hope that, if a resident is being attacked in the lobby, they could be convinced to call the police, But no: http://alturl.com/hmro These are the same doormen that I have seen bring lawn chairs into the building and literally sleep in the lobby. They also enjoy watching movies on the computer that one would think they would use for work. This place is a class-A fraud.
