Do NOT move here- Especially to the Penthouse

I have lived here for 2 years and have absolutely nothing good to say about it. While the doormen, super and other maintenance men are very courteous and dilligent in there duties, the owner is terrible, trying to suck as much money as possible out of the building. If the workmen need even a small amount to get something fxed, it takes months and months.
The building has no ammenities at all, not a one. If you sign a 2 year lease, be ready for a rent increase in the neighborhood of 30% as they believe they have you 'locked'.I wouldn't put up with it and I am moving at the end of this month.

I rented the penthouse, and I can tell you that this building has no community feel as all the residents are largely college students or young, transient United Nations workers.

If you are looking for a great place to live, dont let the looks of the penthouse fool you, and certainly dont pay even as much as I did at 8,200 a month. If you don't care about the 'no community' 'no amenities' and only want to stay 2 years, get 2 months free rent, an escape clause at 18 months or 1 year and don't pay more than 8,000 per month. I paid an effective rent of 8,200 and regreted every dime.
