Gateway Plaza is the oldest building in BPC but it also has the LARGEST apartments. Living rooms are huge and the doormen are nice. Maintenance is so so, sort of whether one is in favor with the office/crew. Low ticket items get done right away. If its a high ticket repair, it's delayed. You have to push hard for anything to happen and management will wear you out into submission but it does get done if you are willing to make a stink. The main problems with Gateway is the LMDC grant brought in a lot of folks who have turned it into a dorm like atmosphere. Noise, parties, thefts in the laundry rooms, etc. This place was once great for young professionals in their mid-30's and young families. The demographics are now skewed toward the just out of college crowd found in the East 80's and 90's and the hipster crowd. Nothing wrong with it if that is what you are looking for but we left.
