Prior to renting here at Gateway, I read so many reviews, some good and some bad. I thought that the good reviews were more than the bad ones, since most of the bad ones seemed to have a single gripe that they used to weigh their decision. I also took into consideration that some of the "bad reviewers" were living at Gateway for a long time before moving out, which led me to decide that it could not be that bad, since after all, there are a lot of other options in the neighborhood and they could have easily moved if it was so bad. I considered all reviews prior to moving and there are complainers everywhere. If you check the rating for a Trump building, guess what....more complaints!! (So dont listen to everyone)

Anyway, I decided to move into Gateway 2 years ago and it is one of the best places that I have lived in the City. It is so peaceful and quiet and I cannot forget to mention I must have the best view in Battery Park. My 1 BR apartment is so big that I had to go out and buy more furniture since it looked a little too sparse. My only gripe would be that there are a lot of pet owners....but hey, I guess it is one of the reasons why they moved to the area in the first place.

I also find the entire staff extremely helpful (well maybe for one or 2 people, but what Building doesn't have some of those)

Hope this review was helpful to someone who is at a crossword as I once was. I really think that it is the best deal in Battery Park City.
