How do they get away with it' I swear they are jacking up the bills to compensate for empty units. Ours was over $500 in January. I guess we'll just pay it and get the ---- out when our lease is up in April. I hope our apartment stays empty after we leave for a looong time due to the recession.

I think you are right. Our floor is a virtual ghost town, with half the apartments vacant. Get in touch with Sheldon Silver's office to add your grievances to the list of people who are complaining about Gateway. The services here are minimal at best. The doormen do virtually nothing, and rarely even open a door if you are carrying packages. The buildings are cold and drafty and poorly insulated. This is luxury??
