Gracie Mews

 

Overall the Gracie Mews is a good building.

The space for the rent is a good deal, but that is driven largely by the location (1st Ave is a hike from the subway).

The management is good and responsive to requests for repairs.

They are not, however, willing to make any rental concessions mid-lease even with the collapse in the rental market.

I understand, but it would have been nice to get some of the rental incentives that new tenants were getting.

The staff is extremely helpful and friendly (I would say that is one of the best features of the building).

The major complaint that I have is that the laundry room is very poorly maintained; machines are constantly broken and I end up wasting a lot of time trying to do laundry.

Also, the the gym hours are not great (3pm close on Friday).

In this market, I would thinkg that there are likely better deals that are in better locations.

I would not likely rent here again.
