I've lived here part-time (my "real" house is upstate) for 5 years. I've found it generally very nice - the lobby make-over was well-done; love having a gym in the building; the laundry is clean and large; there's an on-site dry-cleaner. We have beautiful high-ceilings and parquest floors.

Great being so close to Penn station (and Macy's!) and the subway's right at the corner.

Downsides - not a really residential area, so good restaurants are scarce in the vicinity, and it's very touristy.
